I am graduate student with Masters in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina (UNCC). A Software Engineer by choice, I also enjoy working on inter-disciplinary problems with data, broadly in the fields of Machine Learning, Data Mining and Informational Retrieval.
I worked as a Full Stack Web Intern at Informative Technologie, working on an Assessment management web-based application, comprising of assessments and reports of assessments.
I spent my Summer 2018 as a Data Science intern at Flutura Decision Sciences and Analytics, working on Video Analytics using Deep Learning where I analyzed Darknet (Open Source Neural Network Framework) YOLOV3 to identify faces (Image Classification and Object Detection through CNNs) to gauge whether individuals in CCTV feeds from construction sites are wearing appropriate safety equipment such as Hard hats, grounding equipment or not.
Prior to joining UNCC for my Masters, I worked as a Software Engineer at Cognizant. I was responsible for designing and implementing IT Infrastructure Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions that were used to automate service level automations.
Most of my research forays have come as a part of my course projects. I have benefitted from having some great teachers who have guided successful projects. They are listed below.
Performed TF-IDF Page Rank algorithm on Wikipedia documents with Hadop MapReduce.
Programmed a product classification system based on analysis of user reviews.
Built an AI agent for 2 player deterministic game to predict next optimal move.
Developed a chatbot (a retrieval based model in close domain) for Ubuntu Dialog Corpus.
Devised a web extractor to extract relevant content from web pages.
Created a website with Node and Express where users can sign up and post reviews about camping sites.
